What Have We Been Doing?

We had a blast last week celebrating Halloween and learning about Owls. We also loved seeing our coin box grow fuller! Thank you to everyone who has brought change!!

Here are some pictures from a couple weeks ago when we talked about spiders!

We made a class graph and wrote down our data. More friends in our class liked spiders rather than not. After we analyzed our graph, we filled in our data on this fun worksheet.

We read a spider counting book and used our fingerprint dipped in ink to make the amount of spiders each page needed.

spider facts 1

We read many Nonfiction stories about spiders that gave us lots of interesting facts. We wrote down all of the facts we remembered.

We read the book The Very Busy Spider by Eric Carle and labeled the parts of the spider in the story. Then we made our own spiders! Each of them were different and unique! They just had to make sure they included all of the parts of the spider we labeled.

Here are our spiders and their webs. We had fun making the webs and make them sparkle with glitter!

We also had Charles visit us and give us a lot of great information and show us some really cool spiders. He will also be talking to us tomorrow about owls.

I am looking forward to seeing all of you this week for conferences!

Don’t forget Tuesday is 50’s Day!!
