Halloween day was so fun to celebrate! We began the day with a parade around the school to show off our awesome costumes. The TK started in our room and we followed along through the school to all the grades.
Here are the Tkers!
Now it’s our turn!
Watching the other classes in their costumes
Here we are!!!
After the parade we read Arthur’s Halloween, read and colored our own monster books, finished a spider counting page in math and enjoyed an amazing Halloween party in the afternoon thanks to our awesome moms! Seriously, I am so thankful to you for your hard work. The kids LOVED all of the activities and fun. So did I!!!
The kids started out playing Musical Ghouls! There were pictures of pumpkins and ghouls on the floor. As the music played, the kids walked around the pictures. When the music stopped, they had to find a picture to stand on. The fun part was that no one got out! There could be more than one person on a picture. When all of the pictures but one were taken away, everyone piled onto the same one! Such a fun idea!
Next they decorated treat bags! They all got to choose their own candy pieces to make a colorful candy corn!
Our next game was “pin the legs on the spider.” The kids remembered the parts of the spider we talked about last week and pinned the legs on its body.
The last thing on the agenda was making our snack: dirt and worms!! They crushed up Oreos and put them in the chocolate pudding. Then they got to add a gummy worm. YUM! We had lots of chocolate covered faces.
Happy Halloween from Miss Richardson’s Kindergarten!!
