Apples! Apples! Apples!

Last week we finished up our apple unit by doing an apple investigation (weighing, measuring, classifying and sorting our apples) and then cutting up our apples and making applesauce! Our room smelled amazing Thursday when we cooked the apples all day.  The kids enjoyed eating their applesauce at the end of the day while we made a class chart of our favorite way to eat apples.  The kids could choose from a normal apple, applesauce or apple pie. Most of the votes went to apple pie!

During math on Friday we sorted red, green and yellow apples. The kids knew exactly what sorting meant and did a great job with this activity!
