It was a beautiful day for fishing! The sun was out and the temperature was perfect! The kids really enjoyed learning about the different plants that grow in lakes and ponds. They also got to see tadpoles, turtles, frogs, toads, and crawfish!
After we saw some of the small animals that live in the water, the kids got to see many different kinds of fish. Some looked more friendly than others All the kids got the chance to touch the fish if they wanted to and they all did a great job of answering questions about the fish.
Finally, we got to go fishing!! Each student had their own pole. There was one DNR helper for each child. They were a big help and almost all the kids caught a fish!
