This week the kids were introduced to our classroom itouches. Mrs Sievert, our technology director, came in to show the kids how to use them. We have 5 that we are able to use in our classroom. They will be using these as a learning tool as well as for fun. In reading groups we are able to use the itouches to learn sight words and practice letter sounds. During center time they are able to play other things relating to shapes, dot-to-dots, numbers and painting.
We have also started using the computers during center time. The kids LOVE to play on the laptops! As the year continues I hope to use these during our reading group time as well.
BIG thank you to Beth Krummen for coming into the classroom Tuesday and Wednesday to help the kids with the laptops!
