Congratulations to the Indians for their big homecoming win over Sheldon last night!! It sure has been a fun year for them and I can think of a few boys in our class who can’t wait until it is their turn to be on that field
We had a fun day Friday celebrating Homecoming. We started the morning off with a pep rally put on by the high school. All of the athletes came and helped us get excited by talking about their teams and leading us in a cheer. The middle school band played our school fight song and the kids knew the words better than I did! When we came back to the room they were all singing the song. I was told that Mrs. Robinson (the music teacher) taught them the words in music that week. That made me feel a LITTLE bit better for not knowing the words.
During writing time we used yarn to lace up our paper footballs and then the kids decorated them. Most of them all wrote the words, “Go Indians!” on their football. AWESOME!
We ended the day by watching the parade! The kids loved seeing the “princesses” riding in the cars and the teams go by on the fire trucks. They also loved getting thrown candy.
It was definitely a fun Friday and everyone did a great job celebrating spirit week.
GO INDIANS!
There always has to be a silly face picture..always.
Enjoy your long weekend. See you on Tuesday for a week of apples, fishing and rainbow hair!
