Today we met Mr. M! He is the first letter in our Letter People reading program. The kids loved meeting Mr. M the puppet. He taught us that he makes the “mmmmm” sound, he likes to much from morning to midnight and he even taught us how to write his letter!
This week we will be focusing on the letter m. We will also be starting our handwriting curriculum. Today we practice horizontal, vertical and diagonal lines. Tomorrow we will start practicing the letter F and E. Please work with your child at night and practice letter writing. It will help very much!
Since it was so nice outside today we spent the last half of our math time outside practicing writing our numbers with chalk! The kids have almost got every number down. Practicing numbers with your child would also be a great help!
Our focus this week is “All About Me.” We will be doing many fun activities that focus on ourselves and what is important about each of us.
Remember that fishing day is THIS WEDNESDAY from 1:45-3:00. Hopefully the weather is nice and sunny!
